Woodside

Wood announced the contract in a social media post last week.

“Working on the Woodside Line 200 project Indian Bayou compressor station in Louisiana, Wood will deliver the detailed engineering and design for the compressors and gas turbine generators,” it said.

Wood did not provide further details.

In October 2024, Woodside acquired all issued and outstanding Tellurian common stock. Woodside also renamed Tellurian’s Driftwood LNG project Woodside Louisiana LNG.

Last week, Woodside made a final investment decision to develop the three-train, 16.5 mtpa Louisiana LNG project.

The total capital expenditure for the LNG project, pipeline, and management reserve is $17.5 billion.

Woodside also announced that UK-based energy giant BP has agreed to supply feed gas to the LNG export facility.

According to the firm, this agreement represents the first tranche of a diversified portfolio of feed gas that will support the Louisiana LNG project, enabled by the project’s extensive interconnectivity to multiple producing basins and interconnecting pipelines.

Under the agreement, Louisiana LNG Gas Management (GasCo), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Louisiana LNG, has committed to purchase on a long-term basis up to 640 billion cubic feet of gas from BP for an ultimate delivery to Line 200 beginning in 2029.

Back in June 2022, Driftwood Pipeline, a unit of Woodside’s Tellurian, awarded a contract to compatriot energy services firm Baker Hughes to provide electric-powered integrated compressor line (ICL) technology and turbomachinery equipment for Lines 200 and 300.

In November 2024, Driftwood Pipeline, requested more time from the US FERC to build and place in service the two pipelines.

Driftwood Pipeline sought more time from the regulator to construct and place in service dual natural gas pipelines in Beauregard and Calcasieu Parishes, Louisiana (the Line 200 and Line 300 project).

The company requested an extension of 30 months beyond the originally authorized in-service date to complete construction and place the project in service by October 21, 2027.

According to Woodside’s Louisiana LNG FID presentation, the fully permitted 37-mile, 42-inch Line 200 pipeline will provide access to the Gillis Hub network.

The costs are estimated to be about $1.1 billion.

Following the completion of engineering work, Woodside expects construction to start in 2026, while commissioning is expected in 2027/2028.
