The agency said in its weekly report, citing shipping data provided by Bloomberg Finance, that the total capacity of these 22 LNG vessels is 83 Bcf.
This compares to 26 shipments and 96 Bcf in the week ending October 9.
Average natural gas deliveries to US LNG export terminals increased 1 Bcf/d from last week to 13.7 Bcf/d, according to data from S&P Global Commodity Insights.
Natural gas deliveries to terminals in South Louisiana increased by 2.9 percent (0.2 Bcf/d) to 8.3 Bcf/d, and natural gas deliveries to terminals in South Texas increased 3.4 percent (0.2 Bcf/d) to 4.4 Bcf/d.
Also, natural gas deliveries to terminals outside the Gulf Coast increased 0.6 Bcf/d to 1 Bcf/d, as Cove Point LNG concluded its scheduled maintenance and resumed operations, the agency said.
Berkshire Hathaway’s unit BHE GT&S announced on October 12 that it had completed annual maintenance at the Cove Point LNG facility in Maryland.
The maintenance started on September 20.
During the week under review, Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant shipped eight LNG cargoes, and the company’s Corpus Christi facility sent four shipments.
The Freeport LNG terminal shipped four cargoes and Sempra Infrastructure’s Cameron LNG terminal shipped three cargoes, while Venture Global LNG’s Calcasieu Pass facility sent two cargoes during the week under review.
The Elba Island terminal shipped one cargo between October 10 and October 16.
The Henry Hub spot price decreased 21 cents from $2.42 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) last Wednesday to $2.21/MMBtu this Wednesday.
The agency said the price of the November 2024 NYMEX contract decreased 29 cents, from $2.660/MMBtu last Wednesday to $2.367/MMBtu this Wednesday.
The price of the 12-month strip averaging November 2024 through October 2025 futures contracts declined 19 cents to $2.945/MMBtu.
The agency said that international natural gas futures increased this report week.
Bloomberg Finance reported that average front-month futures prices for LNG cargoes in East Asia increased 7 cents to a weekly average of $13.17/MMBtu.
Natural gas futures for delivery at the Dutch TTF increased 1 cent to a weekly average of $12.79/MMBtu.
The agency said that in the same week last year (week ending October 18, 2023), the prices were $16.50/MMBtu in East Asia and $15.78/MMBtu at TTF.
