Texas Energy, Taxes, and the Fight for the Future | Sanjay Narayan on The Crude Truth

Texas faces a critical crossroads on energy, taxes, and immigration—and Sanjay Narayan is stepping up with clear solutions. On The Crude Truth, Sanjay shares how cutting property taxes, securing our energy grid with oil, gas, and nuclear power, and enforcing the rule of law can keep Texas thriving. Tune in to hear why this Texas House candidate is ready to fight for conservative values and real economic growth.

We have to get out, take our politics seriously, and get involved locally. Without everyone getting involved, we all lose. Everyone needs their great Texas voices heard at the Capitol. Don’t just sit back and think someone else will take care of the problem.

Key points discussed in this episode of the Crude Truth Podcast are:

1. Sanjay Narayan’s candidacy for the Texas House of Representatives District 108, which covers the Highland Park, University Park, and surrounding areas of Dallas. Sanjay discusses his motivations for running, his policy positions, and his chances of winning the primary election.

2. Property tax relief and reform of the “Robin Hood” school funding system in Texas. Sanjay criticizes the current system as confiscating too much money from local school districts and argues for allowing districts to keep more of their own tax revenue.

3. Energy policy, with a focus on nuclear power and reducing subsidies for wind and solar energy. Sanjay emphasizes the reliability of nuclear power and the need to support the oil and gas industry in Texas.

4. Immigration policy, including Sanjay’s support for ending in-state tuition for undocumented immigrants and making E-Verify mandatory.

5. Sanjay’s background serving on the Texas Radiation Advisory Board and his expertise on nuclear energy and radiation safety.

Rey Trevino also discusses Sanjay’s involvement in previous energy policy events and panels in Texas.

Thank you, Sanjay, for stopping by The Crude Truth podcast and for running for office to help all Texans! – Rey.

Rey Trevinio, Crude Truth Podcast Host, Pecos Operating [00:00:00] If you’re watching American politics, you see there’s a new trend. People are running and being elected that actually have experience and an understanding for the American economy and ways to continue to grow this beautiful nation. We talked to one of those candidates on this episode of The Crude Truth.

Speaker 2 [00:00:19] In 1901, at Spindletop Hill near Beaumont, the future of Texas changed dramatically, as, like a fountain of fortune, thousands of barrels of oil burst from the earth towards the sky. Soon Detroit would be cranking out Model Ts by the millions, and America was on the move thanks to the black gold being produced in Texas. Now, more than a century later, the vehicles are different, but nothing else has truly changed. Sure, there may be many other alternative energy sources like wind and solar and electric. But let’s be honest, America depends on oil and entrepreneurs, and if the USA is truly going to be independent, it has to know the crew.

Rey Trevinio, Crude Truth Podcast Host, Pecos Operating [00:01:37] Well, good afternoon, good morning, good evening, whatever the time of the day it is. I just want to say thank you again for tuning in to another episode of The Crew Truth. As we are moving forward almost now into 2026, we’re gearing up for another great and fun and probably surprising campaign season in 2026, with the big elections being in November. However, primaries are gonna start here in the in the early parts of 2026. And today, as my teaser mentioned, I bring on a guest today, somebody that’s actually running in the Highland Park or Park Cities area of Dallas, where we can really continue to grow that Republican base and expand it. I bring on somebody today that really understands the essence of what’s going on with the Texas economy and how it’s only gonna continue to grow with common sense. My guest today is Sanjay Naraya. Sanjay, how are you?

Sanjay Narayan, Atty, Senior Corporate Counsel [00:02:37] I’m great. Thank you, Ray. It’s an awesome p privilege to be here today. Thank you so much for having me.

Rey Trevinio, Crude Truth Podcast Host, Pecos Operating [00:02:41] No, no, thank you. And did I say your last name right?

Sanjay Narayan, Atty, Senior Corporate Counsel [00:02:43] You did.

Rey Trevinio, Crude Truth Podcast Host, Pecos Operating [00:02:44] Noraya. I love it. Norayan. Man, you have been just everywhere, especially in the Park Cities area, literally unofficially, I feel like for the last couple of months, shaking hands and kissing babies. What I mean by that is that you know, you just you’ve just been really active in the community. And that’s why when when when you were talking and I was talking, it’s like, man, we gotta we gotta talk about what’s going on because a lot of people don’t really know what what’s going on, especially here in Texas. Like we have a fight. There are more and more great people, great Americans coming to this great state. We just need to make sure that you know that the American that the Texas economy, excuse me, continues the way that it’s been going for really the last 20 years. Sanjay, how are you?

Speaker 5 [00:03:31] I’m good. How are you? And it’s it brings me back to a couple of years ago, Ray, when you and I met, was part of a Americans for Prosperity panel, I believe. It was with a representative from Congress there. You and I were both members of the panel. We were talking about the importance of energy independence and policies that we can implement here in our state to encourage more oil, gas, and nuclear power so we can be self-reliant and never have another blackout in our state again. What a shameful experience that was. And so it’s been awesome to partner with you and learn about your industry and continue to advocate. I was there in my role as a g gubernatorial appointee to the Texas Radiation Advisory Board.

Rey Trevinio, Crude Truth Podcast Host, Pecos Operating [00:04:07] Yeah.

Speaker 5 [00:04:07] Oversees the use of radiation in our state including for medical research and then also our nuclear power plants which I think are a critical aspect of continuing the growth of our state. But of course the bedrock still remains oil and gas and so we need to find ways to continue to empower the industry to keep powering our state’s economy and moving forward.

Rey Trevinio, Crude Truth Podcast Host, Pecos Operating [00:04:25] You know, when we got to meet at that first one with Augustus Fluger, you weren’t at least, you know, I didn’t know run, but you’re now running for Texas House District 108, which is right here actually in Dallas in the in the influential influential part of Highland Park, University Park. What’s making you want to run?

Speaker 5 [00:04:46] Yeah, no, thank you for pointing out the district. So I announced my run on in September and we officially filed about a week and a half ago my run for Texas House District 108. It encompasses basically all the all the slums of Dallas. No, I’m just kidding. It’s it’s like it’s from LBJ to Woodall Rogers, so it’s Highland Park, University Park, Preston Hollow, Lake Highlands, Devonshire, all the way to the air all the way to Lovefield, and then close to White Rock Lake. But I define it as the financial capital of Red America. You know, if you think about it, politicians, they’ll go to New York City on the Republican side, and then they’ll come right here into this community, this very district, to raise money and funds for to fulfill their own campaign pledges in different states across the country. But what I saw here is that though the district is nominally represented by a Republican, his voting record doesn’t indicate that. He’s one of the four or five most liberal members of the legislature. Speaking of energy policy, in 2021, he actually wrote the bill that would have continued the extension of the wind and solar subsidies in our state under the Prop 313 tax abatement, which you’re well aware of. He he’s voted actually against Constitutional Carry and he’s never voted to end Robin Hood, the recapture program that impacts all of our local schools. He’s never voted to end in state tuition for illegal immigrants, never voted to make mandatory e verify. And I just think that there are some basic concepts. You know, my parents immigrated to this country legally. In search of the American dream, you know, they instilled in me a deep and abiding love and appreciation for God and family, country, meritocracy. And I think, you know, for the security and well being of my kids and and yours as well, and for the folks who are watching, I think it’s imperative that people who feel that there’s a gap, that they can add something to the public, step into the arena. And I think over the last two months, what we’ve seen is that, you know, Charlie Kirk paid the ultimate price for speaking his mind, but he was doing something really that’s at the core of the American essence, which is defending freedom of speech. And we all have one life to live. And I think it’s important that I give voice to the values that I think the people of this district will be amenable to. And so we’ll see. We’ll the primary is on March third, and I’m you know, I’m confident where we’re at. We’ve announced on filing that we’ve already raised a hundred thousand dollars from one hundred twenty five plus donors is a real race, and I think we’ve got a good chance.

Rey Trevinio, Crude Truth Podcast Host, Pecos Operating [00:07:04] You know, we when you talk about having a good chance, what are the things that you want to see? Obviously I I was unaware that I mean I I knew people would come here obviously to the area to to to raise money, excuse me, but I didn’t know it was like just boom, New York to here. You know, what are you trying to actually provide and and show in this in this affluential area and lead? You know, what are we looking for here?

Speaker 5 [00:07:30] Yeah, I think we deserve someone in the position who is going to actually take positions on hard issues that are going to continue moving our state and our economy forward. So number one, when it comes everybody says they want to cut property taxes, there are eight states in the country that don’t have an income tax. So Texas is one of them. But it’s not just a red or blue issue. Delaware, for example, doesn’t have an income tax. But seven of those eight outside of Texas have lower property tax burdens than what we have here in Texas. And part of that is because of the funding system that we have for our local schools. You know, I was eight years old when they passed this Robin Hood Recapture Program, and it confiscates billions of dollars annually from our local school districts. So here in Highland Park, for example, nearly a hundred million dollars out of a hundred and sixty million dollar budget. So nearly seventy cents of every school property tax dollars confiscated from the district. Dallas Independent School District, a lot of people have this false sense that it’s just affluent areas that pay into the program like Plano, Coppel, Highland Park and others. That’s not true. Dallas Independent School District pays nearly a hundred million dollars out of a billion plus dollar budget into the Robin Hood Recapture Program, despite the fact that there are a number of failing schools in the district. You know, there’s some excellent schools in DISD, some of the Tag Academies, Montessor and the like. It’s also home to a number of failing schools and kids who deserve those resources and attention. Richardson, which is another community that was neck and neck with Plano when I was growing up. They ran a $28 million deficit last year, and yet they state still confiscated six million dollars from the community. That is a that’s a pattern that holds across almost all of Texas. In fact, Austin ISD is one of the largest payers into the system. That money is confiscated from local communities and it’s wasted in Austin on special interest slush fund projects. This past session, the legislature voted to give a one and a half billion dollar film tax credit to Hollywood liberals so that they can film movies that directly undermine our values. Why not deliver real lasting property tax relief by allowing school districts to keep their own money local because that’s what people move into communities. They do it for the public schools. We should be able to fully fund them, hire more teachers, and raise curriculum standards with those resources. So that’s a gap that I think has not been addressed for 30 years, despite Republican governance in the state. And I think it’s high time that we fix it. You know, we talk about energy, for example. You know, a lot of people have this idea that Texas is this swashbuckling oil and gas state, and that’s true. But what they don’t realize is that for years we subsidized, including my opponent in this race, the wind and solar industry. So that now today it’s Texas. It’s not Washington or Massachusetts or Illinois. Texas is the largest producer of wind energy in the country by far. Our solar production is scheduled to double over the course of the next decade. And what has that gotten us? During winter storm Uri, two inches of snow? Honestly, it’s pathetic to think about it, but it’s It’s two inches of snow brought the state to its knees. Fifty percent of the wind turbines in our state froze. It led to millions of people losing power. I’m I’m sure you did and I did too. And it led to the deaths of hundreds, if not thousands, of our fellow Texans. I just find that to be a totally unacceptable amount. And because of the failed policies that have been pushed in our state for so long, even with Republican governance, Texans now pay electricity rates that are 30 to 40 to 50 percent higher than what they are in surrounding states, despite the fact that those states lack our God given natural resources right below our feet. I just find that to be totally ridiculous. That’s unacceptable. Texans deserve real relief. And then, you know, number three, just to wrap this up, is on immigration. You know, my parents immigrated to this country legally. At some level, your parents probably immigrated or your grandparents came here at some point. And people come here for the American dream. But that means that your first act in our state can’t be to have violated our nation’s laws. And yet still, you know, here in our state, we still have magnets for illegal immigration, you know, in state tuition, for example. It’s been on the books for 20 years. And and still my point has never done anything to vote against it, never voted to make mandatory e verify. I don’t blame people for coming to this country illegally, by the way, vote at all. I empathize with their situation. And I’m confident that if you or other people are watching. We’re placed in their shoes, we’d do the exact same thing. Yeah. Because this is an amazing country. You really can. It’s the only country on earth where if you come legally and you agree to assimilate, follow the rule of law, our values, our culture, you’re treated as a full-fledged equal, equal to those who’ve been here for bloodlines and generations before you. There is no other country on earth that does it. But it requires that you come legally through the front door. And yet, still in our Texas, we’re providing incentives to come through the back door. And I just, again, this is another area where people throw their hands up. It’s like, why are we doing this? I think that it’s high time that some that we have someone in the arena who’s willing to fight for the values that Texans care about.

Rey Trevinio, Crude Truth Podcast Host, Pecos Operating [00:12:22] Sanjay, you not only have I mean you’ve got how do I say you’ve got reasons and then you’ve got facts to back up everything you just said about all three of those topics. I want to start with the property tax. Governor Abbott just last week announced he’s about ready to go. And I don’t remember all of it, but he’s about to go after all of the about to try his best to lower taxes here during the next house, which will be, I guess, starting in 27. 27, right? January 2027. For those out there that watch the show that don’t live in Texas, our state legislation actually meets every two years. So the next time they’ll meet is January 2027, and that’s what Sanjay is running for here. Are you already backing that one to help? I’m like, and and by that I mean, hey, you know, he came out with it last week. I’m sure there’s gonna be tweaks, but he came out guns blazing last week. I mean, you know, to to talk about that. What are your thoughts on everything that he’s already mentioned? So

Speaker 5 [00:13:21] Yeah, I mean I support all of the above the initiatives that the governor is pushing. I think it’s worthwhile to point out that this past session, the big property tax relief that they were crowing about was a forty thousand dollar increase in the homestead exemption and a hundred thousand if you’re over the age of sixty-five, you know. If you own your own home, yeah, I don’t need to tell you how pathetic that is. That’s a couple that’s a couple hundred dollars. That’s not real lasting relief. And what makes it worse though, Ray, is that the state ran a twenty-four billion dollar surplus last year. My opponent in this race is the chair of the Ways and Means Committee. So they write the tax bills. He’s one of the most powerful members of the legislature. Yeah. By the way, he won his last primary by six hundred votes out of twenty four thousand. This is a very winnable race. So and and we’re gonna do it by focusing on these issues. They passed a bill that the a hundred, you know, the forty thousand dollar increase in the homestead exemption, that’s six and a half billion. Where’s the other eighteen billion? Our state, the state budget, just to show you how profligate the state has been in spending. In two thousand and twenty one, the state’s budget was two hundred and forty billion dollars was spent in the biannual period. Can you guess how much they authorized to spend this last session? Three hundred and thirty billion dollars. That means in a period of just over five years, the state budget that we’re spending went up by nearly ninety billion dollars, nearly thirty plus percent. There is not a person in this state that can tell you with a straight face that the value and quality of services that they’ve received over the last five years from the state has gone up by a third. It’s impossible. And yet we’re spending this money. So when we talk about property tax relief, this is not a question of we don’t have the resources and funding. We absolutely do. What we lack is the political will to actually restrain spending and return money back to the hardworking pocket the pockets of hardworking Texans. That’s what we need to put as priority levels one, two, and three, because it’s too expensive for families who are starting out to get a home, move into a good school district, and live the American dream here. We’ve got to keep Texas the economic engine that it is. That’s the reason that companies and people across the country are moving. You’ll probably get an influx of folks from New York City over the next year and a half as they watch the spoils of their last election come to fruition. That’s their fault. I mean, I used to live in New York too, so I get it. But we have to keep this an economic engine. That means providing real lasting relief to taxpayers here, and it’s critical.

Rey Trevinio, Crude Truth Podcast Host, Pecos Operating [00:15:48] Sanjay, you have done your research. And like I said in the beginning, you you are you’re expecting a fight. And and again, like I said, it’s like you know what you have to do. Let’s talk about your background with radiation and then that going into energy. You know, we’re we’re right now we’re building that modular nuclear facility in Abilene, and I think actually it’s technically a nuclear reactor right there under ACU, Abilene Christian University. As a radioactive guy, how dangerous is that gonna be for the for Texas?

Speaker 5 [00:16:19] Yeah, it’s it’s not dangerous, but but it’s it’s it’s a really great facility that they have there. So, thank you for asking. So in twenty nineteen, Governor Abbott appointed me to serve on the Texas Radiation Advisory Board, which oversees the use of radiation in the state, including for medical research and then also our nuclear power plants. So it’s been a privilege to work on behalf of the people of our state and be on the front lines of energy policy. So in that role, what we do is we oversee the various research requests and policies. So there is a research reactor at Abilene Christian. It’s actually a molten salt reactor, which is interesting. So the the currently, you know, ninety-nine percent of all nuclear power plants in the world, including here in the United States, which is where, by the way, nuclear technology was invented. Unfortunately we lost our expertise over the way due to fear mongering, which I’ll get to in a minute. But basically it works like a it’s a light water reactors. You basically heat water up to a very high temperature in order to keep crash the nuclear molecules together, plutonium or uranium atoms to then release power and energy that heats water, creates steam, turns a turbine, and then creates clean renewable power. So that’s how a mol that’s how a light water reactor works. A molten salt reactor would just eliminate the use of water entirely, and you would just heat salt, which is what the Natura guys are doing at Abilene Christian. And why that’s better is this is actually technology that’s been around since the nineteen fifties, but it was never meaningfully deployed. And it’s safer than a light water reactor because there’s no pressure, there’s no water pressure. So if you think a nuclear reactor is basically like a pressure cooker, that’s the reason why you don’t want to touch a pressure cooker when you’re cooking is because it can turn into a bomb. Right. So a molten salt reactor eliminates that problem. I am very opt you won’t find a a more pro-nuclear power person than me. And the reasons are multifold. So the first is that we have four reactors in our state right now. They were all construct it’s a there are two sites, two nuclear power plants, two reactors at each. There are four reactors. They were all constructed in the late 1970s, early 80s. They’ve been operational for nearly 40 to 50 years. And yet that technology is so reliable that it still provides nearly six plus anywhere from six to ten percent of our grid on any given day. And I mentioned the winter storm a while ago. According to ERCOT data, nuclear power is the most reliable form of energy through the entire storm. So it’s it’s imperative that as a state we continue to push forward on this. So I’m I’m grateful that this new administration the Trump administration is very seems to be very favorable. Chris Wright has been very positive on nuclear power, and it’s important that we do it because it’s been foolishness over the last thirty to forty years how we’ve suddenly stopped developing what is an American technology at its heart, nuclear power, and we’ve got to build more across our state so that we never have a if we we have four reactors that provide ten percent of our power right now. If we had forty, we’d never have another blackout. We could have as much power. We could export it to other countries. We we would have cheap, reliable, affordable energy. We’d never have another blackout. We have it within us to do it. We should do it.

Rey Trevinio, Crude Truth Podcast Host, Pecos Operating [00:19:27] You know, let’s let’s get it. I’ve had on Gray Stanky. I think she’s changed her last name, but she was Miss America 2023. But she’s a nuclear engineer from Wisconsin. And then I just hosted Congressman Pat Harrigan on the show that’s a nuclear guy. So let’s talk about like so I and I’ve said this on the show before that as soon as I can figure out how to make money, like I do an oil and gas and nuclear, I’m gonna do it. Yeah. And invest. But let’s talk about the fear mongering, you know, because I want to talk about also that I think it has to coincide with in some ways, and and and this is a terrible comparison, please let me know. But you know, we just have the new executive order of changing the Department of Defense back over to the Department of War and what a difference one word can make. So that’s why I want to talk about nuclear and all the negative stigma. Yeah, and so let’s talk about that for a minute.

Speaker 5 [00:20:20] Yeah, sure. So I’m so whenever people say nuclear power, they immediately think of Chernobyl. Yeah. They think of Three Mile Island and then they think of other like a couple other meltdown radiation. Important point of perspective on each of those. Chernobyl happened in Soviet Union. It was a man-made mistake. And it to according to the United Nations, only fifty people, five zero people died from related radiation poisoning from that. In fact, now the area is completely healed to the point that it’s actually become like a nature preserve.

Rey Trevinio, Crude Truth Podcast Host, Pecos Operating [00:20:51] Yeah.

Speaker 5 [00:20:52] So that’s number one. Three mile island. There were so little radiation emitted from the actual meltdown of the facility that you’d get more radiation poisoning standing at the tarmac of the Denver International Airport because you’re a mile high than you would have if you were standing three feet outside the cylindrical cone outside of Three Mile Island. And yet those incidents were confiscated by people in the industry who didn’t want to see a competitor in many cases that was more effective and reliable, but more importantly, by environmentalists in favor of an agenda, which was to drive home that nuclear power is not safe, not reliable, and so in favor of their own political motive, which was wind and solar, which is why now you constantly see this focus on cost, cost, cost. The problem is the reason why wind and solar on a per kilowatt hour basis can be reflected as potentially cheaper than oil and gas and certainly nuclear power is not because they’re actually cheaper. It’s because the cost of the subsidies has been provided so much that you can lower down the cost. And because the provision of power, the retail cost of wind and solar doesn’t include the cost of backup. Wind and solar, you don’t get power when you when the sun’s not shining or the wind’s not blowing, or unless you pay for batteries. And it’s almost always the case that ninety plus percent of the backup power for wind and solar plants are natural gas. Yeah. They’re coal. And those startup plants that are those peaker plants. They are more expensive to operate than your traditional baseload because anybody turns on their car, it’s it’s better to just leave the car on some cases than to turn it on and off. You wear down your energy over time. So the reason why nuclear power has become so expensive in this country is because we’ve kind of relegated ourselves to safetyism. Yep. You’ve got an entire bureaucracy that has its reason for being in Washington in the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, that basically they want to prevent any type of accident at any cost. You know, the cost in terms of reliability and cheap energy, be damned. And so the Biden administration, you know, they they changed the rules to add it’s nearly 20,000 pages of regulation to go through. And, you know, the Trump administration is going through the process, I believe, now of trying to rewrite those, but it’s gonna take a long time. It’s gonna take a long time to do it. And I’ll just give you an e the anecdote. It costs nearly eight to ten million dollars just to file an application. It costs at least half a million to a million dollars in annual safety fees. I’m not saying that we shouldn’t have safety inspections. Absolutely we should have safety inspections. But there’s a way to do it in a cost sensitive manner that actually allows our country and our state to develop.

Rey Trevinio, Crude Truth Podcast Host, Pecos Operating [00:23:32] You know, Sanjay, you are no nonsense. You you came on here, you had you sir, just just in this time, well propelled, we’re well prepared, well-versed, well knowledgeable in all these state issues that are going on. I see no reason why, you know, again, you said hey, 600 votes was the difference. Why we’re not gonna be able to get 601. And why you’re not gonna be able to get 601. For those out there that want to reach out to you, want to donate to you know, or just talk about your campaign, how can people get a hold of you?

Speaker 5 [00:24:09] No, thank you for that. Yeah. So it’s sanjay4texas.com, S-A-N-J-A-Y, F-O-R Texas.com. Sign up for the mailing list, volunteer, and of course, donate. That’s the most important thing. Because we really need it. If people like the message, they like what they’re hearing and want to see the state move in a conservative, continued, prosperous agenda, which is what I think we deserve, rather than folks who’ve been here for 10 plus years. I think that now is an opportunity for change. We we’ve got it we’ve got a fork in the road here in our state, which is are we going to kind of move forward move forward with prosperity and abundance? Are we going to kind of move back and kind of tinker around the edges? And I think bold conservative leadership is what people are looking for. So again, it’s sanjayfortexas.com and would welcome your support and thank you again for having me.

Rey Trevinio, Crude Truth Podcast Host, Pecos Operating [00:24:55] And real quick, f if you can I want to give you the floor. One, at the end of it repeat how they can get in hot contact with you, but talk to your pe talk to the constituents out there real quick and and then let’s you know, tell them why they need to vote for you.

Speaker 5 [00:25:08] Yeah, no. So Sanjay Norayan, I’m running for House District one oh eight. I b I believe that we deserve an articulate, unapologetic champion for our shared conservative values. So I’ve mentioned that I’m running in this race against the incumbent. His name is Morgan Meyer. He’s been in office for ten years. At the end of this term it’ll be twelve. He’s asking for two more. Over that course of time, he’s amassed one of the most liberal voting records in the entire Texas legislature. And I just think we deserve better. I think I think we can do better. And I’m running to be people’s voice. So number one, I want to actually cut people’s property taxes. We were just mentioning this. That begins by ending the confiscatory and unjust Robin Hood recapture program. Number two, I want to make sure that we secure our energy grid by ending all remaining wasteful subsidies for wind and solar that my opponent wrote the bill for, that we make sure that we restore the free market and produce more cheap, affordable oil, gas and nuclear power so we never again have another blackout in our state. It’s unacceptable. Number three, it’s about the rule of law and immigration. I want to secure our border. Absolutely, by fully funding the construction of a wall where we can and where we need, but by turning off the magnets that we still have in our state voting to end in state tuition, make mandatory e verify, and then finally I want to be a champion for our shared conservative values. Whatever you might think of Attorney General Paxton’s personal life, I thought the impeachment was a waste of time and people’s efforts. And my opponent was the ringleader of that. He was one of the impeachment managers. I think that was a waste of time. Similarly, I think the speaker of the House should be backed by Republicans. A lot of people don’t know that the Texas House. Has Democrats choosing the speaker of the Texas House. I think most voters would be very shocked to find that out. And so I think that if people are aware of the issues which I intend to make this campaign about, please join us at sanjay4Texas dot com. Donate liberally. Look forward to working with all of you and you as well, Ray through Victor on Election Day. So hopefully it will give people the option that they’re looking for.

Rey Trevinio, Crude Truth Podcast Host, Pecos Operating [00:27:01] Sanjay, I cannot thank you enough. Articulate, knowledgeable, pro oil and gas. So you know me, I love that. But also, hey, you I like how you just brought up some very important parts about what’s going on at Texas State House that people don’t know about. Yeah. So thank you for sharing those. And thank you so much for coming on. And I do want to wish you nothing but the best of luck and success in this race and and good luck and and and give them help.

Speaker 5 [00:27:25] I appreciate that. And I since you did mention a proponent of oil and gas, I think we deserve in our state an unapologetic champion for the oil and gas industry. It’s not something to be ashamed of. We never should have bought into this whole ESG ideology that somehow oil and gas is something that is in our past. It’s our past, it’s our present, it’s our future to power our state, our continued prosperity. So I want to thank you for your leadership on that issue as well, Ray.

Rey Trevinio, Crude Truth Podcast Host, Pecos Operating [00:27:51] Thank you. And that’s the crude truth. That is our past, our present, and our future. Sanjay, thank you. Good luck. We’re gonna have you on again. I appreciate it. And I’m already I’m already thinking of of more. So I cannot thank you to all our listeners and viewers out there that are are definitely wanting to know more. Please reach out to Sanjay, reach out to me. I can get you in contact with him. But again, we got to know more. The more we know, as the G.I. Joe so said, right? And and knowledge is half the power or or however they said it. But anyway, continue on and thank you as always for tuning in for another episode of The Crude Truth. We’ll see you next time.
