Nanjing Ocean Shipping Co (NASCO) is expanding its fleet with additional ultramax newbuilds at a domestic yard.

The Chinese bulker player has returned to China Merchants Jinling Shipyard in Nanjing for a pair of 63,500 dwt units, delivering in 2027.

NASCO owns and operates more than 20 bulkers, mostly in the supramax segment.

No price has been divulged for the latest deal, which follows the order for a brace of similar ultramaxes last year scheduled for delivery in 2026.
