First Ship Leasing Trust (FSL) is selling its oldest vessel.
The Singapore-listed product tanker owner said in a filing it had struck a deal with an undisclosed buyer for the 2004-built Cumbrian Fisher.
The price was not disclosed, but FSL said it had received the initial 10% deposit in escrow for the 12,900 dwt vessel, picked up for about $16m, and chartered back to UK-based James Fisher.
The trust currently has eight tankers of different sizes built between 2004 and 2008, all employed under fixed-rate bareboat charters to James Fisher Everard, acquired by the James Fisher Group in 2007.
