Houston-based engineering and construction services giant KBR has been awarded a global agreement by energy major BP for engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services.
Under the terms of the contract, KBR will provide EPCM for onshore, offshore, greenfield, and brownfield conventional energy projects and new energy sector projects worldwide for three years, with an option to extend for two additional years.
The US firm and BP currently have a global agreement in place for engineering services. Under the deal, KBR has played a role in projects spanning the US, North Sea, Iraq, Africa, and Azerbaijan. The two companies have had a running collaboration for 70 years.
This additional global agreement expands the opportunity for EPCM services and demonstrates and will support BP’s expanding portfolio.
The global agreement will involve multiple project teams collaborating from offices in Houston, Baku, India, Abu Dhabi, Oman, Singapore, Perth, and London.
