OEG Renewables, part of Aberdeen-based offshore contractor OEG Energy, has moved to further bolster its offshore wind support fleet with a crew transfer vessel newbuild from Diverse Marine.

The company has struck a deal with the shipbuilder on the Isle of Wight to bareboat charter a Chartwell Ambitious Class CTV for five years.

The vessel, fit to accommodate 24 passengers, will join the existing UK fleet in September next year to support construction as well as operations and maintenance activities.

Earlier this month, OEG Renewables also revealed a CTV order at Singapore-based shipbuilder Strategic Marine for delivery in Taiwan in February 2025 to support offshore operations in the Asia Pacific region.

“OEG Renewables’ marine service line is well equipped to support the development of offshore wind projects throughout the UK, Europe and Taiwan, with strategically placed vessels in each region. Through our fleet of owned and chartered vessels, the company is well positioned to continue supporting the ever-evolving project needs of our customers and the global energy transition,” said Leif Cooper, marine services director for OEG Renewables.
